I'm a blessed dad, husband, researcher, program evaluator, social policy analyst, occasional green thumb organic food raiser, and, as of 2013, a crafter. I got into glass in part because I was looking for something creative to do and just wanted something completely different. I ended up staying with it it because of the almost limitless capacity for originality and fluidity that blown and shaped glass presents. It allows for the connection of mind, body, and spirit (both my own and the Spirit of the Maker (which I believe is infused in all things)) into one complete form. With these elements, I can work towards shaping and reshaping the glass into all sorts of different forms, get truly unique patterns and mixes of color, make items that are both useful and inspiring.
