1910s Marzi & Remy Beer Stein with blue flower relief, salt glaze inside and out, thick walled.
Solid pewter lid with initials FS engraved and pretty lid lever.

An old picture of this model exists in an old Marzi & Remy catalog, go to the link below to view it.
Marked on base with mold number 2311.
In very good condition, minor lid scratches, 1mm sideways lid movement, does not impede functionality, and one very fine 2cm long hairline on rim (near handle), hardly visible, structurally sound, suitable for use.
Slight blemishes only stated for disclosure, they do not affect overall appearance or use of the Stein.

Very clean inside and out, appears to have been used very little.

No potter's wheel mark at base, but this is a Marzi & Remy Stein from between 1900-1920, most likely sometime in 1910s manufacture, prior to or during WW1.

Measures 11.5cm tall (14.5cm up to lever), 11cm body diameter and 0.5l internal capacity.
