Vintage golden amber glass toothpick holder in a patriotic theme, with embossed American bald eagles and 13 stars around the top and base. It still retains it's original Kanawha Hand Crafted Glassware label, as well as a sticker from the store from which it was purchased in 1968 for the whopping price of $1.09. I have seen other toothpicks that are similar, but many of them have a smooth top, rather than a "castle turret" look like this one, giving it a Revolutionary drum look.
It is a fun vintage collectible and can have many uses. It can be used on your desk to hold paper clips or rubber bands, on a window sill to catch the light, in the vanity area to hold your q tips, or best of all, just because you collect tooth picks and enjoy grouping them around your home. These little guys also make great gifts for teacher or office co-workers.
This amber pressed glass tooth pick stands 2 5/16" high and is in great vintage condition with no chips or scratches, looking as though it just came off the store shelf. If you look carefully at the first picture you can see that the top edge, in the back, is not as clearly defined as in the front. I believe this happened when it was removed from the mold. I'm always happy to combine items into one box, when I can, to save on shipping costs.
