This type of corset busk was used to keep the front of a back-opening corset or stays upright and stiff. It fits my Renaissance Quilted Pair of Bodies, my Georgian Stays, and my Regency Corset.
The hardwood busk is approximately 14” long, 1/8” thick, 1 3/4” wide at the top, and 1 1/8” wide at the bottom. All dimensions vary slightly. Brought to you by The Mantua-Maker Historical Sewing Patterns.
I include one page of historical information with your busk. I didn’t make it, only the information sheet. My supplier didn’t tell me what type of wood it is – I suspect that varies with the batch.
-- If I can ship it cheaper than my posted rates, I'll refund any excess postage over $1.00. --
