The pattern is not as difficult as it might seem. You have to know basic knitting stitches, including slip stitches, be able to follow pattern chart and know basic crochet to make front band. Many pictures of the work in progress are included.

Yarn: Shepherd Baby Wool, 50gr/1.75oz, 165m/180yds, 100% pure wool.
Sunstitute yarns: Viking or Dalegarn Baby Ull yarns, any baby weight yarn.
Gauge: 8 sts x 10 rs + 1" (2.5cm) over slip stitch pattern
Needles: 2.00mm (US#0) needles, adjust needle size as needed to get the required gauge.
Crochet hook: same size as needles to finish the front band.
