Old white milk glass hen on nest with open or split tail and hand painted red comb and eyes. This is an unmarked Westmoreland chicken on basket weave bowl with beaded edge, probably from the 1960s, perhaps a little earlier. Perfect for your Easter decorations or in a country kitchen setting. Very collectible mid century glassware.
It measures 5 1/2" long and about 4 1/4" wide and is in great vintage condition with no chips, nicks or cracks. This country kitchen charmer is so versatile, as it is not only a great addition to your glass farmyard animals, it can be a covered candy dish, a covered butter dish or imagine one of these at each place setting, filled with your home made chicken noodle soup!
