Vintage Set of Four Child Chinese Monks marked Jingdezhen Sculpture Ceramics Factory with original Box. Aren't this awesome! Puts a smile on my face when I look at them. The highest one measures 2 1/4".
I acquired these at an estate sale. They look to have never been displayed. In fact one has a little ceramic / porcelain slag on the bottom that needs to be filed off before he sits flat. They are in close to perfect condition and just adorable! One of the little fellows is marked 40 and 3 horizontal lines.
Of course the box is a little worn but is still sound and keeps these little fellows safe. The Box is printed - Jingdezhen Sculpture Ceramics Factory. Here is a excerpt from the website "Established in 1956, the Jingdezhen Sculpture Factory is located in an eastern suburb, 6 kilometers away from downtown Jingdezhen. The factory is about 110 thousand square meters and 1300 workers, including a national ceramic art master, 2 Jiangxi Provincial ceramic art master, 36 high standard craftsmen, and over 400 other craftsmen. It is considered to have one of the largest groupings of master craftsman of any sculpture factory."
