This shibori silk scarf was dyed by me with natural indigo.
The color is dark indigo blue.
I stitched a free-form crescent moon on one end, and tied and dyed "stars" on both ends, leaving the center of the scarf solid indigo blue.
This is one of my favorite designs. I've stitched many silk, cotton and hemp fabrics and scarves with moons and stars, but each creation is completely one of a kind.
The fabric is soft, lightweight habotai silk. This naturally dyed scarf measures approximately 11" x 57".
As with many hand dyed textiles, there are small areas of slightly uneven color.
I've done my best to portray the true natural indigo shade of this scarf. Please remember that each computer monitor displays color in its' own way.
This indigo dyed scarf should be gently hand washed with mild soap or shampoo in cool water and line dried to preserve the delicate texture and color. It may be carefully ironed with medium heat
