A pair of fire-dogs, andiron end of 1800s beginning of 1900s "chenets de cheminée"
These where originally for a small bed room chimney .
The decorative front part is in brass and the retaining arm is in steel .
It is complet.The end part was fixied into the wall.The particularity of this piece is it's inner feet that are made to bend towards the outside as this part was placed on the metal plate that held the ash cinder grille.
The decoration is a vase set on to a draped pedestal .At the top of the vase are flames .
This part is screwed on .
The decoration is 10.23"high by 4.92" wide by 3.15" deep
steel bar 15.35" long .
The pair weigh 2 kilos 660 grams = 5,87 pounds/5lb 13oz
