This hat was hand knit with a hand dyed, merino wool yarn from Peru. The hat has a cabled design that can be worn by both men and women. Because the ribbed brim is 3” deep, it can be worn down or turned up. With the brim down, it will fit a large man’s head. Women can wear it slouchy style with the brim down or turn it up for a more snug fit. It will fit all adults because it is so very stretchy. The yarn is a medium weight.
Overall, the color is a deep teal, a dark greenish blue, and the first photo shows it best. The yarn is tonal and reminds me of chenille - velvety looking and asking to be touched. When you do, you’ll be amazed at how soft it is. This is the first time I have knit with this yarn and it was a joy to work with. It appears to be very sturdy, yet it is incredibly soft for a plied yarn.
