I have knit this scarf to form diagonal stripes just to be a little different. The unusual Italian designer yarn looks very expensive and it is, but I bought it on sale and I'm passing the savings along to you.
The yarn is acrylic, wool and rayon, thick and thin, and is an un-plyed fiber wrapped with a variegated thread. Tonal shades of off-white, brown and deep red make this a good scarf for a man or woman.
This is a scarf for someone who lives where the winters are bitterly cold because it is 8 ½ feet long by 6 inches wide and as cuddly as can be. Garter stitch creates a thick texture to hold in the warmth. You can fold it in half and wear it in any of the usual ways or wrap it multiple times around your neck and face while waiting in a blizzard for the bus.
Take a look in my gallery for lots of other scarves and warm accessories.
