ITEM # 081601 (Box-3)
Whiting and Davis Dresden mesh Art Deco bag. The name of the silk screen pattern is "Hot Air Balloon", and can be found in "Vintage Purses At Their Best" by Lynell K Schwartz on page 87.

The plating is in very good antique condition with only slight wear due to age and handling on the outside, still very eye visible crisp and clean. The inside metal is immaculate. Clasp snaps perfectly. Purse still has the original soft champagne colored satin interior with no soiling, with only the separation along the one side of hinge, as shown in photo. Purse is signed Whiting and Davis Co Mesh Bags Reg US.
Overall very good antique condition with typical wear due to age and handling, with above stated. Purse frame measures 4" across the top. There is a 14 1/2" drop including the chain. Measuring from the clasp to the end of the fringe comes to 9" in length.
