ITEM # 021612 (B-189)
Albert Weiss, a native New Yorker, started his company in 1942, on Fifth Avenue in N.Y., after having worked for Coro and Marvella Jewelry.
This is a stunning antique, circa 1940's, pre 1955 no copyright, signed Weiss designer rhinestone crystal necklace/choker measuring 16" in length and has a J hook clasp.
The J hook is adorned with a single rhinestone and the other end has a baguette.
There are 76 small rhinestones all along the necklace.
The center is created with 5 large emerald cut rhinestones and 4 large baguettes, for a total of 87 hand prong set crystal rhinestones, all rhodium set.
Very good antique condition with typical wear due to age and handling. Upon close inspection, I did find one of the small rhinestones along the necklace is starting to darken with age.
