An Art Deco, circa 1918-1938, Czech frosted Intaglio glass crystal perfume bottle, with an over-sized stopper. The base is acid-stamped "Made in Czechoslovakia" as well as "Tchecoslovaquie" which is the French spelling of Czechoslovakia and was used from 1918-1938. If a photo of the signature is needed, please ask. The frosted Intaglio are roses and leaves.
This is a tall bottle measuring 7 1/2" with the stopper.
The stopper alone, is an amazing 5 3/4".
Base is 2 3/4" in diameter squared.
Condition : Good antique condition with typical wear due to age and handling. I stopper has three nicks on the inside, as seen in last photo. There are also some grinding marks from the cut portion of the stopper, which are to be expected. The stopper also has a couple of chips on the dauber end, which I tried to show in the fourth photo. The base is in very good antique condition with the typical grinding marks along the inside rim from the manufacturing process, along with a crease in the rim of the glass that occured in the manufacturing process as well. I have looped it with my jewelers loop and it is not a crack. Stating for accuracy purposes.
I have purchased several more Czech crystal bottles, so please keep looking as I continue to get them listed.
PLEASE let me know if you need any additional photos or information before purchasing, as I sell antique / vintage items.
