Antique ivory pyralin vanity Items including a button or shoe hook, a small tray and a nail buffer. Pyralin is a trade name for celluloid and I believe these items to be from the 1920's, although the button hook may be earlier than that. These early plastic vanity items make great displays for your dressing area and always draw attention to a room's decor! Selling as a set.
The button hook (or perhaps a shoe hook) is unmarked and has some discoloration on one side. It shows some use at the hook end, but is in good used condition. The tray is 5 6/8 " long, marked ivory pyralin and I imagine was used to place rings, bobby pins, etc on. It is in good used condition with some staining. The nail buffer is also marked ivory pyralin and unfortunately has a split at one end, with light staining.
