Description

Vintage New Martinsville Janice crystal candy box bottom only. I just KNOW that somewhere out there is a lid to go with this gorgeous candy box bottom. The inside measurement is 5". You will find this drape pattern glassware listed under elegant depression glass.

The bottom edge has been ground to level it and shows very light usage. New Martinsville made the Janice pattern from 1926 to 1944. The molds went to Viking Glass when New Martinsville closed it's doors.  I am of the belief that this is an earlier production and not Viking as it has a ground and polished bottom and the glass glows nicely under the black light.

It is in good vintage condition with no chips or cracks. It catches the light nicely and would be a great serving piece, even without the lid.  Fill it with olives, candy, salsa or even try in the vanity area with colorful guest soaps.
