New Martinsville Glass introduced the Prelude plate etching in the 1930s and Viking Glass continued production when they took over New Martinsville in 1943, continuing production into the 1960s.  This vintage crystal flared compote is # 4270 with scalloped edges and an embossed stem that catches the light nicely.  Mid century elegant serving glassware for your entertaining needs and also makes a great gift for the new bride or that special person in your life.
This 1950s Viking compote is 6 1/2" across, a little over 5" high and in wonderful vintage condition, looking as though it has never been used.  It still retains it's original Viking sticker.
