This lovely vintage crystal lily pond decorator bowl in the American pattern by Fostoria Glass was made from 1940 into the early 1970s. This mid century glassware pattern is also known as Early American, and the cube like design catches the light so nicely on this very collectible dinnerware pattern.
This footed shallow flower float bowl is 12" across and 2 1/4" deep. It is in good vintage condition, with no chips or cracks. If you hold it to the light you can see scratching on the inside. It looks as though it was used for many years with a flower frog, perhaps as a centerpiece on a dining table, although that is a guess to account for the scratches. This is so pretty when you float camellias or gardenias in it, but it also doubles as a very functional serving bowl for those special dinners.
