The mug is Made to be Used with stoneware clay and food safe glazes. It is handcrafted, start to finish, lumps of clay to finished mug by Chischilly Pottery.
Fine for any type of drink, hot or cold, Microwavable. Fun for Children of ALL AGES! Glazed in Green and Mauve gloss glazes.
One of a Kind. Both mug and bird whistle are entirely made by hand. No two will ever be alike, or sound alike. This entertaining mug will serve as a children's mug, but also fine for those older, adult kids (you know who you are). Coffee, Tea, great little beer mug...
A gentle breath directly into the bird's beak gives you the first note. The slot-shaped hoe on the bird's back is where the sound comes out... make sure not to cover it. You change the pitch by covering and uncovering the round hole on the side of the bird. A fluttering motion of your fingertip will give you a trill... rolling your finger off the pitch hole gives you in-between notes.
