I'm pleased to offer this unusual ladies wind up watch by Remington.
Please note that despite the naming by the manufacturer this is an all mechanical, wind up watch. It is not a quartz watch nor an electric watch.
When quartz watches first appeared on the market in the early 70s, mechanical watch makers were scrambling to compete. Some made electric watches using gears and springs that were driven by a small motor. Others, like this one, named their watches so they appeared to use the newer technology. This one was particularly bold having been named to appear to use both quartz and electric technologies. It uses neither, instead it uses traditional springs and gears.
The watch is in very good condition. It starts right up when wound and keeps good time. The case is 1" across and it will fit a 6 3/4" wrist.
Don't miss your chance to own this unusual piece of watchmaking history!
