Wonderfully Vibrant Imari Style tea cup and saucer from Thomas Forster and Sons of England. This particular pattern called FTH21 and is painted in shades of Orange, Blue and Green on a Pristine White Background with Gold Gilt trim.
Now please read ... these are vintage items and there may be small imperfections from age or flaws from original production. Please see last photo. There are two small such imperfections on the bottom of the saucer. One is when they were painting the gold gilt around and over applied the gold and missed a spot, causing a rough feel, the other imperfection is another area where the porcelain was not cleaned perfectly resulting in several minuscule bumps of porcelain baked in. Both of these occurred when the piece was made. These are not to be mistaken for chips just because they are slightly rough. I work with Porcelain and clay and china paint too so I know what I am talking about. I have shown clear photos of the areas I am referring to. I try to make my photos as clear as possible and carefully examine and describe each item. But if you are a perfectionist I would suggest you do not purchase. While these are not visible from the eye, if things like this bother you I would suggest you find another set that is perfect. Would look striking on a hutch or sideboard to use or display.
