One of my beautiful treasures that was put away, determined not to sell, but couldn't leave it packed in a box in the attic either. It was meant to enjoy, if not by me than someone else. This little unmarked German Luster Sugar Bowl was always displayed behind my beautiful Hulschenreulher Selb plate as both have soft yellow roses. This one shows 3 yellow roses hand painted on a white bowl with shades of green, teal, purple and brown that connect by vines on sides. I have included a photo of both sides of the bowl that shows a different version of the painting of the roses. The cream color is a luster which appears as a border on the bowl and the covers the lid and although you cannot see because of the shine, the luster on the lid is slightly worn in a few spots but other than that it is in wonderful condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. Handles and lid top are painted in gilt gold and measures 3.50 from handle to handle and 3 inches high with lid. Pair it with the same plate, or add it to your sugar bowl collection. The single sugar bowl is absolutely beautiful and would make a wonderful addition to either your hand painted collections or your Shabby, Romantic or Cottage Style Decor.
