Early Edwardian, circa 1910's Czech art glass brooch. This brooch was handcrafted and signed Made in CZECHOSLOVAKIA. It has the early handmade safety catch clasp which was used between 1890's-1920's.
Brooch consists of blue art glass moonstone cabochons. There is a round measuring 13mm, 10mm, three 7mm, and one oval measuring 12mm by 8mm which are all bezel set, there are three 4mm rounds which are hand prong set. Brooch is dimensional with leaves and flowers, showing the transition from late Art Nouveau to the early Art Deco period. Brooch is silver plated over metal, from the spots that are showing, appears to be most likely over brass.
Condition: Very good antique condition with typical wear due to age and handling. Some minor plating loss, mostly on the tips as shown in photos. Camera magnifies everything, as it is not eye noticeable except upon very close inspection. Stating for accuracy purposes.
Brooch measures 2 1/2" by 1 2/3".
