U.S. Glass Co made this vintage pressed glass goblet in the Pennsylvania pattern (which is part of the state series), aka Balder, circa 1897. For glass collectors, it falls in the category of EAPG which stands for Early American Pattern Glass and is very collectible. It stands 6" tall and reacts to the black light as expected.
This antique goblet has been around for over one hundred years! It kinda boggles the mind when you try and imagine what life was like for the original owners, remembering that this was made before the sailing of the Titanic. (electricity?, inside plumbing?, bustles?, telephone?)
It is in excellent condition and appears to have been seldom used. It was called a water goblet in it's day, and I'm sure the original owners would be surprised to hear that we find it just the right size for our wine!
