This vintage green glass silver locket necklace was made from a scallop shape silverplate metal cage locket. I inserted a tiny piece of mint green antique tumbled glass into the small locket and secured it with a silverplate cable chain through the bail. The glass came from old, antique, broken vases, bottles, and glassware that had been tumbled smooth. This beautiful light green glass made a nice contrast to the bright, silver plate metal locket. The necklace looks great from all angles, as seen in the pictures.
All silver metals are prone to tarnishing, so it is best to store the necklace in an air tight plastic bag when they are not being worn.
The locket hangs 3/4 inch from an 18 inch silverplate cable chain secured by a lobster clasp.
