I was playing around with glitter glue today to see how I could possibly incorporate a child's staple craft item into a piece of art (I am really drawn to the colors in the glitter glue and most kids would be too) and the end result is what you see before you. So this big kid here surmised that this was terribly fun (especially since it required that I get really messy) and it turned out better than I envisioned which is always nice.. There are so many images in this abstract that it would take way too long to list them here. Suffice to say that whomever purchases this one will be entertained a great deal if they let their own perspective be that of a child ; )
This painting is on a wood Cradleboard and a combination of inks, resin, spray paint, acrylic paint and liquid silver foil were used. All of these were mixed with resin and poured separately. I intuitively added glitter glue in various places not trying for any particular look or image but rather for artistic style. I then added 3 coats of Art Resin and torched the layers to remove any surface bubbling. The main colors are teal, gray, magenta, white and black.
