I had not done one of these resin pours for awhile and last week I completed three, an accomplishment for me since it requires a lot of commitment in terms of time and energy with no interruptions. Sometimes getting to the point of no interruptions can be the hardest part, especially when you have two very very sweet and well trained but curious dogs who want nothing more than love, attention and playtime with mom. They can make it very easy to pull my focus. I was determined to subdue the little beasties upfront. Well things don't always go as I wish of course and naturally it was exactly at the time I got everything all set up to work that they started chasing each other and their stuffed animals in my work area. Then a package was delivered at the door and they went bonkers for a few more minutes there. Lol. I do have to give them credit however. Bisbee and Karma are getting better about receiving my telepathic signals and almost left me completely alone after we physically bartered. I had to agree to supply them in bones and treats. They had to agree to leave me alone to work and stay out of my space till I was done. We both struck a deal and they sealed it with a puppy kiss and after that, they were my angels. I probably had a little Devine help as well since I did ask for that in order to keep my bases covered and my sanity in tact.
This is a beautiful 16x16 Resin pour. I call it Dancing with the Dragon. Materials used were wood cradleboard, copper chrome spray paint, pearl gold craft paint, Ranger Alcohol Ink in Cranberry, Champagne Finish acrylic paint, Titanium White Liquitex ink, Beachcomber beige acrylic paint, Liquid Gold Foil, 100% pure acetone, Resiblast, nail polish, blow torch, 3 coats of Art Resin, gloves and puppy kisses for good luck. Art Resin has very very low VOC and is very safe to use inside and around animals and children too. Since my dogs are small and are like my kids to me, naturally I wanted to use a very safe epoxy resin.
Not seeing something you like here? No worries mate, you can convo me here and I'm sure we can come up with something awesome together. You also can convo me on Instagram #aishanmoon8837 I'd be very happy to hear from you and show you some of my other art as well.
