Teapot, pink flower pattern, raised drip glaze with Art Nouveau design, vintage Japan.
This is an interesting, vintage teapot with a nice shape.
It has a mottled, raised, drip glaze on the pot and on the knob of the lid....very striking!
It is decorated with six stylized, pink flowers around the bottom of the pot.
The bottom is marked JAPAN, a little faded, but you can read it.
The teapot measures about 5" high and 9" from spout to handle.
It is in good condition, with just one, old, glaze flake off the edge of the spout that blends in with the mottling, and one small spot where the raised glaze was hollow underneath and the top glaze chipped off. Otherwise, very nice.
This would be a nice addition to a collection, or good for anyone to have and display.
