Love this! If you can pull off the look, this stylish 1950s or 60s trilby may be for you.
This is a gorgeous hat in good vintage condition. It's a lovely light camel, or dark tan, color; in real life, it's actually lighter than the photos make it out to be. It features a braided cord around the base of the crown, and a jaunty little feather. Because what hat is complete without the feather? :)
The material is difficult to describe; the best I can do is to say it's made like corduroy. It's probably a very heavy cotton of some sort, woven and stitched to resemble corduroy. The interior is a gold satin, with the Knox New York logo. It also has a tag that says "Medium" in the back, and - this is the REALLY cool part! - has the original price tag!!! It cost $17.50 when new. The tag also has the size - 7 1/8 Medium - and the MFR# 13-1149-19-95679.
Condition: The only real problem I can find with this hat is that the sweat band is coming loose; the glue appears to have disintegrated into a dry, brown powder. I am trying to get most of it out, but you'll want to have that repaired. There is also some staining at the front of the sweat band. Still, otherwise, it's in very good vintage condition.
Measurements: brim is 2" wide; crown is 4" tall in front, 5" tall on the sides.
