Mod! Hollydale Pottery produced Malibu Modern starting in the late 40s to about the mid 50s, in both solid colors and decaled decoration. This teapot is in Burgundy and measures about 9"W and and bit under 3.5"H. Bottom is fully glazed with three sagger pin marks and no rim or foot. Unmarked. Wonderful squatty shape!! This one isn't going to be tipping over, no matter how hard you try.
CONDITION: Pretty nice! No cracks, chips or hairlines, just a bit of crazing if you tilt it to the light just right. There is also some noticeable scuffing and scratching around the bottom, guessing it was balanced on top of something in a cupboard, can't figure out any other way it would get there. Spout is lovely and unchipped, so is the lid! Oh... there is an orangy spot on the lid, definitely in the glaze. Not damage, factory, just lettin' ya know!
