Big chunky agate statement necklace made with huge 35 to 40mm druzy quartz beads. This necklace has a big wow factor with the European rhinestone spacer beads in between the big stones. I also used 3mm silver plated smooth rounds to frame the 9x12mm blue European beads. This would make a beautiful wedding or mother of the bride necklace.

The length is 18 1/4 inches and it is finished with bright silver color textured large oval link chain and a large silver plated lobster clasp. You could wear it choker style by clipping anywhere on the chain.

The agate is one of the oldest stones in recorded history. Agates attract strength. Agate is a protection from bad dreams. It also protects from stress and energy drains. Agates have been used in jewelry since Biblical Babylonian times. They were used to ward off storms and they were prized gems in antiquity. This quartz, belonging to the Chalcedony family, comes in a wide range of colors and is often variegated and banded. The agates with banded colors were placed at the head of a sleeper to give rich and varied dreams. Agate is a hard stone that comes in any colors! This type of chalcedony is formed from layers of quartz and is found all over the world. Agates are said to be amazing for grounding and balance. They also can bring you abundance, wealth, protection, love, and connection with the natural world! Probably the most famous place that agate is mined is Idar-Oberstein in Germany where it has been collected since 1548. Other locations to find agate are Uruguay, Brazil, United States, Mexico, Madagascar, Italy, Egypt, India, China, Scotland.
