This vintage look hand smocked pinafore over a red and green plaid dress would make a very special outfit for Christmas and beyond. A red and green tartan plaid in a poly/cotton blend was used for dress that could be worn with or without the pinafore. White pique was used for the collar and is trimmed with matching tartan piping. The dress closes in the front with three red buttons matching the ones on the white pique sleeve cuffs. It has a full gathered skirt, serged seams and the hem is sewn by hand.
The white pinafore is done in white imperial broadcloth and features a square neckline, short bell shaped sleeves and a wide ruffle on the bottom. The yoke is trimmed with tartan piping on both the front and back. Two white buttons close the yoke in the back leaving the rest of the pinafore open. Red & green geometric smocking with florets and floret wreaths adorn both the front and back.
